Ok so I have been faced with a dilemma. How do you tell a 5 year old that the strange man that he got presents from this year is his biological father and that the man that he thinks is his true father is actually a really close friend of mommy's that was there when she needed him most and took the father responseabilities when the other would not?
I have asked myself this many times since christmas. My ex came over on Christmas Day with some presents for my son, well actually our son. It is the first time that he has ever come in person to deliever them. I usually would get them dropped off at work or something and then my little ankle bitter would open them on Christmas day. He would of course always ask me who this person was. So then this Christmas when his real dad decides to actually play an active part in the fe3stivities, he was confronted with the fact that this was his real dad. It didnt help the my ex said to him " Do you remember me? Im your father." This of course sent my son screaming from the room. Oh Joy...My ex on the other hand knows that I am happily married and that he screwed up by leaving me 7 months pregnate and with little money. In step my hubby. We have been friends for years and he was there whenever I had a fight or something went wrong with the relationship I was having with my ex. When my ex decied to leave me for someone else (who has two kids, what the heck??) I went to my now hubby not knowing what to do. He gave me a roof over my head and food in my stomach.. and when it came time for me to have my little one he was there right beside me coaching me through the whole thing. I even had it changed when my son was 2 and we eventually got married that it was his name on my son's birth certificate. Now my 5 year old thinks that I have lied to him all his life and wont even talk to me. He has turned to my hubby ( he still calls him dad however) as asks all sorts of questions. Now here I am feeling like a failure as a mother and a complete liar.. So how do I sit a 5 year old down and tell him the turth??? and make it so he actually understands it. I want his real father to have a relationship with him, most likely steming from my lack there of relationship with my father, but right now it seems so hard. I guess I should have known the day would come. Just not this soon..

I have been a little strapped for cash this year and I had to do some last minuet shopping. Well the alternator went in the hubby's truck and the major belt on my car went too.. I have been out of work sick for the last 5 days and then I was out for over a week and a half before that with my sick kid. So...after all of that.. there was all of like 100 dollars in our bank account until after the first. My mom helped with gas and groceries and a couple other things. I then realized that the money that I was going to buy my mom and stepdad and sis and bro and thier families with is gone... except for the 30 dollars I had in my pocket.. Im not touching what is in the bank. SO I went to the dollar store to get some last minuet paper and saw all these cute toys for the kids. I found a stunning vase, and a chop stick set. (my sister loves sushi) found a mug for mom she has been saying she needs a new one and a trumpet figuren for my stepdad who collects anything music realted. So after that 20 bucks that leaves me ten.. aww enough to give to my baby brother in a card.. Now does shopping at the dollar store make me cheap??

As I log on today to check my emails. I am greeted by my home page that tells me my current weather (cold, rainy, and foggy) it also tells me what is on my local channels, what is going on in the world today and almost everything that I want to know. What should pop up, but a artical about the most hated person in the world. Who is it should you ask?? Why none other than President Bush. Now I am not sure how many of you are Bush Supports, but I can not stand the man. I am sorry but our troops should have been out of the middle east and home a long time ago. Now I do not say this just because I do not believe in violence and blood shead, but because I have family and friends over there and I would like to see them come home. I see our boys (and girls) over there, but yet I dont see anything being accomplished except the body count rising. I will say again BRING OUR TROOPS HOME!! So I know that driver's ed these days leaves little to be desired , but I swear I think traffic signals of any kind are becoming optional now adays. On my way to work sometime last week, we had a nice sunny 50 degree day. I am on my way to work stopped at a light that was red, it turns green i look to make sure its clear and I start to go, no sooner do I start moving as a fire truck ( no lights or sirens) comes high tailing it through a red light along with 2 pickup trucks and a little mitsubisihi ecxlips. Umjm hellooo.... the light was RED!!!! Ok so now becuase of them i have 30 pised of people behind me because we have sat through the green light just so those people could run it. Ok on to my next stupidity reigns supreme example. I live on a corner that is a 4 way stop, but I swear no one knows what those red octaganal shapped things are with the white lettering on them. Funny story though, we live down the road from the local fire station. No big deal used to hearing the fire engines. Anyways we here a lot of noise one night and go to investigate on our front porch. Here comes and Ambulance with lights and sirens the whole nine yards. Comes to the stop sign slows down and then goes on through. Next up is the fire truck lights and sirens until it is about 500 feet away from the stop sign, then it turns them off. Ok again no big deal. Stops at the stop sign in the midst of the fire truck getting ready to turn a cop car comes flying down the road no light no sirens nothing, just so it can go around the fire truck and run through the stop sigbn getting T-boned by another car who actually did stop at the stop sign. again So now the firefighters are out of thier truck cussing and swearing at the cop who runs the sign along with half my block who has come out to see what all the commotion is about. The guy who hit the cop is ok , the cop is pissed apparently this is his 6th mess up in a month... take the badge please. all in all everyone is ok. Around here I swear stop signs are optional.

hI "streamers" As I sit here with the flu, realizing that Christmas is 5 days away. I figured it was time that my stream page look a little festive this year. So far the plans are laid out to who and where and what day we will spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Our actual goal this year was actually to get out of the midwest and head south to the Carolina's, but as many of you noticed if you read my earlier post's thanks to Uncle Sam that didnt happen. Oh well there is always next year , right. So here is Season's Greetings and Yuletide Wishes to you and all of your families from mine. I will post more when I have more that 4 seconds of energy.
